The 5th Pitching Coach joins with a data-driven mindset and a heart for sustainability—helping youth sharpen ideas into impact.
Coach Rachelle Jenine Abuel brings a rare blend of scientific rigor, development insight, and grounded leadership to the MISSION POSSIBLE Youth Social Hackathon: Philippines Edition. Trained as a biochemist at the University of the Philippines, Rachelle first imagined a career in medicine—but found her true calling in the great outdoors, working at the intersection of environment, community, and sustainability.
With over a decade of experience in environmental and natural resource management, Rachelle has contributed to biodiversity protection, urban planning, and public service in both grassroots and institutional contexts. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to building systems that are not only sustainable but also inclusive and data-informed.
As a development practitioner, she has worked across local and national government, NGOs, and multilateral partners to design and implement programs focused on biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and community engagement. Her technical background is enriched by real-world experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic planning – skills that allow her to guide ideas from concept to impact.
What sets Coach Rachelle apart is her data-driven mindset. A passionate advocate for using evidence to inform social innovation, she helps young changemakers connect their passion to practical outcomes. Whether refining a project’s theory of change or translating community needs into measurable goals, she challenges teams to think critically, creatively, and holistically.
Her background in urban and regional planning also helps her see the big picture – how ideas can scale across communities, cities, and ecosystems. As a mentor, she encourages youth to think beyond the pitch: to consider the ripple effects of their ideas, and to embed sustainability, inclusivity, and impact at every stage of their project.
Coach Rachelle joins MISSION POSSIBLE: Philippines Edition (October 24–26, 2025) as a Pitching Coach, guiding young innovators to present their solutions with clarity, coherence, and the confidence that even the most ambitious ideas can be made possible.
