From beef to sunflowers, coffee to drones—his journey proves that big ideas can take root anywhere.
Mentor Raymund Mirabueno is a visionary agri-entrepreneur whose journey spans from the streets of Manila to the rolling farmlands of Bukidnon. As the founder of Mirabueno Integrated Farm, he has spent over two decades building one of the most advanced and sustainable farming systems in the country, fully solar-powered, drip-irrigated, and supported by drone technology.
From raising cattle and producing premium local beef, to roasting internationally awarded coffee, to cultivating more than a million sunflowers annually, Raymund has shown what’s possible when innovation meets persistence. Mirabueno Coffee won an international competition in Milan in 2019, bringing global recognition not just to his brand, but to Philippine coffee growers. His Mirabueno Beef operation integrates breeding, finishing, and meat processing, offering steaks like Tomahawk and Porterhouse, all raised and processed locally. And with Mirabueno Sunflowers, he now operates the largest single-farm sunflower cut flower production in the country.
Raymund began his business journey early as a teenager, trading bottled water at Ateneo and trading motorcycle oil before finishing high school. After earning his BA in Interdisciplinary Studies at Ateneo de Manila University, he moved to Cagayan de Oro and dove into both corporate and entrepreneurial work, eventually managing dealerships, launching fuel enterprises, and leading one of the largest livestock farms in Northern Mindanao.
His story is one of grit, growth, and grounded leadership. He believes in blending lessons from both entrepreneurship and employment to create impact at scale. His farm serves as a model of sustainability and circular agriculture, using solar fencing, precision irrigation, and drone-assisted fertilization—all while uplifting communities and producing proudly local products. At the MISSION POSSIBLE Youth Social Hackathon: Philippines Edition, Raymund joins as one of five inspiring mentors. His message to young innovators is clear: start small, stay resilient, and keep learning by doing. His journey proves that entrepreneurship can thrive anywhere – even in the provinces – reminding us that the future of innovation often begins where the roads are unpaved and the vision is bold.
