On the final day of MISSION POSSIBLE Youth Social Hackathon: Season 2, the energy that had been steadily building up reached its peak. After two days of inspiration, collaboration, and relentless work, the student changemakers from 12 schools across Thailand finally stepped into the spotlight. Their mission: to pitch their solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
The day began with reverence and reflection during the Opening Liturgy, presided over by Cardinal Francis Xavier Kriengsak Kovithavanij. His presence reminded participants that their work was not just a competition, but part of a greater call to serve others and build a more compassionate world.
That sense of purpose deepened with a powerful message from Dr. Thierry Bonaventura, Communication Manager of the General Secretariat of the Synod at the Vatican. Reflecting on the global Synod’s theme of listening and walking together, he told the students:
“The XVI General Assembly of the Synod gave us a powerful message about walking together, listening deeply to each other, and moving forward as a community. But here’s what I love about what you’ve experienced – you haven’t just talked about collaboration, you’ve lived it! You’ve proven that when young people come together with their creativity, their passion, and their diverse perspectives, they can tackle the biggest challenges facing our world. And here’s the secret: working together isn’t something you learn from a textbook – it’s something you DO. It’s learning by doing. And that’s exactly what you’ve been doing these past 3 days.”
Then came the moment everyone had been working toward: the final pitch presentations. Each team had 5 minutes—one more than last year—to present their ideas. This special timing was inspired by the Synod of Bishops at the Vatican, where even Catholic bishops have only four minutes to speak about the needs of their countries. That extra minute was a gift—an invitation to speak boldly, clearly, and with conviction.
The panel of seven distinguished judges—including Catholic educators, communication experts, psychologists, and social changemakers such as Ajarn Sumitra Phongsathorn, Coaches Luis and Poom Kristhanin, Coach Ple Voranunt Voranunt Prasertmeth, Coach Rosalina Alexander McKay, Coach Vimviriya Limkangvanmongkol, and Dr. Rachada Monthienvichienchai from LiCAS News—listened intently as each team stepped forward to make their pitches.
What they witnessed was nothing short of extraordinary. From digital inequality to climate migration, youth mental health to inclusive economies, each team tackled their chosen theme—drawn from the global crises identified by the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC)—with courage, insight, and creativity.

Adding to the inspiration, the room welcomed a surprise visit from two schools awarded top grants in Season 1. These young alumni shared their journey of turning ideas into action, showing the current participants what lies ahead when passion meets persistence.

Project Funding Grants
After intense deliberation, the judges awarded four teams with Project Funding Grants to bring their solutions to life:

- Saint Joseph Bangna School – “You Matter Boxset” project– 40,000 THB
- Saint Gabriel’s College – “Local Nest” project – 30,000 THB

Eight additional teams were recognized with Impact Matching Grants, allowing their schools to donate to organizations aligned with their project missions:
- Narivittaya School – “Power Her Up”
- Pramaesakolsongkroh School – “MePassion”
- Sarasas Witaed Bangbon School – “Memories Time”

- Phraharuthai Donmuang School – “Safe Nest”
- HuaHin Vitthayalai School – “Bin It Right”
- Holy Redeemer School, Northeastern Region – “AI-Heart Space”
Everyone a Winner!!
Every team received a commemorative trophy and certificate—symbols of courage, teamwork, and the power of ideas. But more than awards, what they took home was the experience of building something meaningful, together.
They listened. They grew. They pitched. They inspired.
And together, they proved once again:
