MISSION POSSIBLE Hackers proves that when youth dare to dream, Together we MAKE a better world POSSIBLE.
Two teams from MISSION POSSIBLE Youth Social Hackathon : Season 1 have landed on the moon with their projects coming to life after receiving seed funding from the program. What began as bold pitches during the hackathon has grown into real initiatives touching lives – proving that when youth dare to dream, Together we MAKE a better world POSSIBLE.
Bond Up App – Maryvit Sattahip School
After months of consultation, planning, and prototyping, the hackers from Maryvit Sattahip School have officially released Bond Up, a family relationship–strengthening app born from their hackathon pitch.
The students began their pitch with a clear insight: in many families today, members live under the same roof but feel disconnected. Parents and children often spend more time looking outward – at school, work, or online – than listening to one another. They asked: “Why do we sometimes feel like we live in the same house, but in different worlds?” Their answer was to design a digital tool to rebuild connection inside the home.
With funding of 125,000 baht from MISSION POSSIBLE, the team mapped out a four-stage journey – from self-learning and coding practice, to building prototypes, to seeking professional collaboration. At first, they tried to create the app on their own using Thunkable, but quickly realized its limitations. That challenge became a turning point. Determined to improve, the team reached out to Mahidol University’s Faculty of ICT, where older students mentored them in coding and debugging using Sigma VS Code and Flutter. Together, they transformed an idea into a working product.
Bond Up’s unique features are all designed around the family unit:
- Shared Calendar to help families see one another’s schedules and plan moments together.
- Milestone Tracker to record shared memories — meals, trips, small successes — and build an album of family life.
- Group Chat with privacy (voice and video) that encourages open sharing without fear of screenshots or outside intrusion.
- Financial Management Tools to give transparency to family budgeting, spending, and saving goals.
- Knock Knock (What’s the matter?) – a safe space for any member to signal when they need to be heard.
One of the team members shared:
“It began with one important question: why do we sometimes live in the same house, yet feel like we’re in different worlds? That question led us to create the Bond Up application.”

“But the pitch on stage – even receiving funding – was only the beginning. The real challenge came afterward: designing the logo, fixing features, writing code, trial and error, all the way through to developing an application that could truly be used.”
– Bond Up Team, Maryvit Sattahip School
The process wasn’t easy. Students had to learn new programming languages, test countless versions, and even redesign their branding and user experience multiple times.

In the end, their persistence paid off. Bond Up is now available on Android and iOS, providing families with a tool to strengthen relationships and reduce misunderstandings at home. The young hackers dream that one day every household will have Bond Up installed as a daily reminder to talk, listen, and grow together.

This journey shows that what starts at a hackathon can continue long after the event – through late nights of coding, new partnerships, and the courage to keep going.
ExtraPeace Hackathon – Sarasas Ektra School
While Maryvit chose technology, the hackers from Sarasas Ektra School turned their mission into reality by going bigger – launching a nationwide hackathon dedicated to peacebuilding and inter-religious dialogue.
With seed funding and strong determination, the team took inspiration from MISSION POSSIBLE itself and went even further, by organizing an event that gathered youth across Thailand to exchange ideas and design solutions for unity in diversity. The project resonated deeply with themes highlighted by Pope Francis and the Synod: dialogue, mutual understanding, and peace across religions.
One of the team members shared:
“We must thank the Catholic Education Council of Thailand and LiCAS for creating MISSION POSSIBLE. It challenged us, excited us, and gave us the spark to create our own ExtraPeace project. The 100,000 baht funding gave us the chance to turn an idea into something real.”
The idea began with a simple but daring question:
“Can people of different religions truly live together in peace?” Their answer became ExtraPeace – a program that created safe spaces for honest conversations. They hosted online inter-religious dialogue sessions where Buddhist, Christian, and Muslim speakers shared the basics of their traditions, leading participants to reflect, overcome prejudice, and build mutual respect.”
Another student observed:
“The most powerful thing I noticed as the moderator was the power of conversation itself. Simple, open dialogue gave young people the courage to ask: ‘How can we live together if we don’t believe the same?’ and ‘How can we talk about religion without fear?’ Youth need safe spaces. When we have them, we are ready to speak, to listen, and to understand.”
Another young hacker reflected
“In my opinion, religion topics ain’t for only academic or religious leaders, but also for youth like us. That’s why in this ExtraPeace project, the space wasn’t just for competition — it was for sharing ideas, speaking to each other, and showing how peace can happen in every school, every society, and in our world.”
As Vatican News highlighted, the Sarasas Ektra initiative has become a pioneering example of young people leading the way in interfaith collaboration – showing that hackathon energy can ripple outward to transform society.

Looking Forward
From an app that strengthens families to a hackathon that fosters peace, these moonshot projects prove that MISSION POSSIBLE is not just a weekend event – it is the spark of real change.
As we celebrate these milestones from Season 1, all eyes now turn to the new generation of hackers. Which pitches from this year will become the next moonshots? Which ideas will earn project funding and continue the journey of transformation?
One thing is certain: with youth leading the way, Together we MAKE a better world POSSIBLE.
“Together we MAKE a better world POSSIBLE.“
Bond Up App –
MISSION POSSIBLE Youth Social Hackathon
- Shared Calendar
- Milestone Tracker
- Family Chat
- Knock Knock (What’s the matter?)

ExtraPeace Hackathon –

Together we MAKE a better world POSSIBLE.
