Mentor Tor Hataitip Jirathun, A role model of resilience who believes every patient’s voice deserves to be heard.

Sometimes, the greatest turning points in life are not the ones we choose, but the ones life unexpectedly places before us.

Mentor Tor is a lecturer in communication, a bilingual English–Thai emcee, and a familiar voice at many of Thailand’s leading running and endurance events. She also serves as Deputy President of the Thai Breast Cancer Community, bringing hope and advocacy to fellow patients beyond her professional career.

Behind that smile, however, is the remarkable journey of a woman who has survived cancer three times. After battling breast cancer and two separate diagnoses of brain lymphoma, she now lives with permanent numbness in her left leg, leading to frequent falls and physical challenges. Yet she continues to embrace life with courage, determination, and unwavering positivity.

For more than two decades, Mentor Tor has balanced her career as a university lecturer with her work as a professional host and sports commentator, inspiring thousands through major running and trail events across Thailand. Her passion for endurance sports reflects the way she approaches life itself: every finish line begins with refusing to give up.

Her personal journey has also shaped a deeper mission. As Deputy President of the Thai Breast Cancer Community, she advocates for every patient’s right to quality healthcare, reliable information, compassionate support, and the opportunity to have their voice heard. By openly sharing her experiences, she hopes to inspire others while advocating for better care and a higher quality of life for people living with illness.

At MISSION POSSIBLE Youth Social Hackathon : Season 3, Mentor Tor will share a powerful story of resilience, hope, and perseverance, reminding young changemakers that even life’s greatest obstacles can become the starting point for creating meaningful change.
